Interplat Online Payments

«Interplat» Internet PaymentsInterplat online payments are designed for quick and easy cashless payment for goods and services bought online using a National Mass Electronic Payments System (NSMEP) smart card. The online payment system allows instant payment for mobile communications vouchers; utilities; Ukrtelecom services; cable TV, digital TV, and Internet services from Volia Cable; NTV+ television; IP telephony; online money transfers; and much more. Users can check their account status or card balance instantly on the Interplat site.
Online payments for goods and services require a PC connected to the Internet, an NSMEP payment card, a card reader, and special software (installed free of charge).
All payments in this system are highly reliable and secure, thanks to smart card technology developed by the National Bank of Ukraine.



Non-Bank Payment Systems

Non-bank electronic payment systems can be used to replenish mobile communications accounts, or to pay for Internet, IP telephony, Skype, and other services. The payment package includes the following equipment:
  • payments processing server
  • remote payment acceptance workstation based on a PC and a compact thermal printer
  • standalone workstation based on the UNS Term-S mobile terminal
  • stationary self-service kiosk
The payment system communications model has three main components: a network of remote workstations, a server with processing software, and the payee's (e.g., mobile operator's) billing system.

Remote workstations communicate with the processing software over the Internet or a LAN. Different types of connection are allowed (via dial-up modem, dedicated line, GSM/GPRS, WiFi, etc.).

When a payment needs to be made, the remote workstation equipment initiates a communication session with the processing software. Once connected, the terminal or computer sends a request to the server for a payment in a certain amount.

The processing software, depending on the payment method, sends a request either to a replenishment codes database (of the mobile operator or Internet service provider), or to the server providing payment services. A successfully completed transaction generates a printed receipt, which is retained by the buyer or payer.

Using this payment system eliminates the need for advance purchases of scratch cards for replenishment, and makes the entire system more flexible, reliable, and easily scalable.
